Governor Palaces

These buildings are in essence luxury homes/dens/hubs for your governors so they can run the daily affairs of a particular planet in your empire in comfort, and hopefully run your planets more efficiently. Due to the differences between certain empire types, there are now 3 different “palaces/mansions” that are available depending on the empire you choose to play as.

While they are all different in appearance and provide different benefits, if you build more than 50 of any of these buildings (regardless of empire setup), you will receive a unique “corrupted government modifier,” uniquely tailored to the type of empire being corrupted. This corruption modifier significantly reduces the mineral and energy output of your entire empire. Do not go above a count of 50 of any of these buildings.

IMPORTANT: The Corrupt Government modifier is checked, applied, and removed on a monthly pulse, meaning that you will need to wait up to 30 days before the modifier is removed. Also, you DO NOT need to remove all your Governor’s Mansions to remove the modifier, you just need to get the count back to 50 or lower.

 

Governor’s Mansion

“An extremely luxurious and expensive mansion for your planetary Governor, giving a comfortable work-space for directing all planetary matters.”

Base Stats:

  • Available to any empire without the Hive Mind or Machine Intelligence Authorities
  • Requires Level 2 Administration Building (10 pops).
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Mineral Cost: 1000
  • Energy Cost: 1000
  • Influence Cost: 50
  • Monthly Maintenance: 3 Energy

Building Bonuses:

  • Generates 1 influence per month.
  • Generates 1 unity per month.
  • Increases population happiness by 10%.

Building Corruption Modifier:

“The governors of your various worlds have become complacent, lazy, and inefficient. To return your government to working order, make sure you have no more than 50 Mansions in your empire.”

  • Reached if the number of Governor’s Mansions goes over 50.
  • Reduces mineral and energy output of your empire empire by 30%.

  • Planetary Government

 

Queen’s Den

“A comfortable palace designed specifically for the queen of this planet, perfect for harmonious communication across the planet.”

Base Stats:

  • Available to any empire with the Hive Mind Authority
  • Requires Level 2 Administration Building (10 pops).
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Mineral Cost: 1000
  • Energy Cost: 1000
  • Influence Cost: 50
  • Monthly Maintenance: 3 Energy

Building Bonuses:

  • Generates 1 influence per month.
  • Generates 1 unity per month.
  • Increases all planetary tile resource output by 10%.

Building Corruption Modifier:

“The number of Hive Queens with independent autonomy in the empire has grown to the point where the hive is now jacked-up and little reaches consensus. To allow your hive to return to harmonious consensus, have no more than 50 Queen’s Dens in your empire.”

  • Reached if the number of Queen’s Dens goes over 50.
  • Reduces mineral and energy output of your empire empire by 30%.

Research Requirements:

  • Planetary Government

 

Primary Network Hub

“A centralized center for all planetary networking and communication, allowing the governing unit to efficiently manage all planetary affairs.”

Base Stats:

  • Available to any empire with the Machine Intelligence Authority
  • Requires Level 2 Administration Building (10 pops).
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Mineral Cost: 1000
  • Energy Cost: 1000
  • Influence Cost: 50
  • Monthly Maintenance: 3 Energy

Building Bonuses:

  • Generates 1 influence per month.
  • Generates 1 unity per month.
  • Increases all robot planetary tile resource output by 10%.

Building Corruption Modifier:

“The number of units with semi-autonomous authority within the network has grown to the point where the network’s latency is at unacceptable levels. To get the latency back to acceptable levels, check there are no more than 50 Primary Network Hubs within your empire.”

  • Reached if the number of Queen’s Dens goes over 50.
  • Reduces mineral and energy output of your empire empire by 30%.
