NSC Auras

NSC Auras

These auras are added by New Ship Classes & More for a variety of roles on a variety of ships and stations, however, since there are only a select few, we have decided to list all of them here on the same page. None of the following auras are part of the NSC Component Feature.

Automated Ship Repair System:

An advanced system that can repair ship damage and recharge ship shields rapidly. Ships must be very close to the station in order to access the system. Can currently only be equipped on the Drydock station, and a slightly different version of it is also available on the Headquarters Station.

Component Stats:

  • Aura Range: 40
  • Ship Monthly Repair Rate: +10%
  • Ship Monthly Shield Recharge: +10%
  • Cost: 1000 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 400

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)

Automated Defense System:

An expensive and power hungry aura for the Science and Construction ships after researching the cruiser upgrades, allowing the ships to defend themselves against minor enemies that come too close. While it won’t defend against a strong fleet, it will take out minor space monsters without you having to send a military ship to intervene. The system firepower is roughly equivalent to 3 Medium guns. Don’t forget that your Science & Construction Ships will still automatically run from enemies unless you change their stance in the fleet window.

Component Stats:

  • Accuracy: 85%
  • Damage: 5 – 10 per day
  • Range: 110
  • Shield Penetration: 50%
  • Armor Penetration: 50%
  • Cost: 1000 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 200

Research Requirements:

  • Enhanced Civilian Designs

Headquarters Subspace Manipulator:

This aura is standard on the Headquarters Station, turning it into a massive subspace interdictor, stopping all enemy fleets from emergency FTL jumping out of the system, along with other benefits provided to any friendly fleet within it’s radius.

Component Stats:

  • Enemy FTL Interdicting Capabilities
  • Friendly ship shield regeneration rate increased by 15%
  • Friendly ship auto repair increased by 10%
  • Friendly ship fire rate increased by 15%
  • Friendly ship weapon damage increased by 15%
  • This aura costs nothing to equip or maintain.

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)

Subspace Snare:

This aura acts similarly to the Headquarters Subspace Manipulator, allowing the Strike Cruiser to interdict enemy fleets, making it extremely difficult for an enemy fleet to leave the system during combat. This aura also reduces enemy ship’s combat speed. This aura is optional, with an “empty” slot also available if not desired or too expensive.

NOTICE: This aura is only available to the Strike Cruiser.

Component Stats:

  • Enemy FTL Interdicting Capabilities
  • Enemy Combat Speed reduced by 50%
  • Cost: 150 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 150

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)

Superdreadnought Fleet Auras:

These auras are available to the Superdreadnought as fleet support auras, allowing the Superdreadnought to become a command vessel for a given fleet. Each aura is part of the same Aura ID, which means that each of these auras will not stack with each other or any other aura below. This was done for balancing reasons, so please make your selection of aura carefully based off the needs of your current fleet.

Enhanced Targeting Field:

This aura provides additional weaponry damage to all fleet weaponry by hitting targeted ships with more precision. This aura has the highest priority of the Superdreadnought Aura IDs, meaning that if this aura is equipped on a Superdreadnought in a fleet, it will take priority over the other two listed below.

Component Stats:

  • Fleet Weapon Damage increased by 15%
  • Cost: 250 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 200

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)

Integrated Fleet Network:

This aura gives the effected fleet an increased fire rate with an integrated fleet network of targeting computers, allowing for faster calculations. This aura has the second highest priority of the Superdreadnought Aura IDs, meaning that if this aura is equipped on a Superdreadnought in a fleet, it will take priority if there is no Superdreadnought with the “Enhanced Targeting Field” Aura within range.

Component Stats:

  • Fleet Fire Rate increased by 10%
  • Cost: 250 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 200

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)

Shield Enhancement Field:

This aura gives the effected fleet increased shield capacity. This aura has the lowest priority of the Superdreadnought Aura IDs, meaning that if this aura is equipped on a Superdreadnought in a fleet, it will only take priority if there are no other Superdreadnought Auras within range.

Component Stats:

  • Fleet Shield Hit Points increased by 15%
  • Cost: 250 Minerals
  • Power Requirement: 200

Research Requirements:

  • (No Special Research Required)
