NSC2 Starbase Buildings

Here you’ll find information on the new Starbase Buildings added by NSC2. In addition, NSC2 also overwrites a few vanilla buildings for important changes. Those are listed at the bottom of this page.

 

Sensor Station

The starbase sensor station assists in monitoring our borders for possible threats.

Naval Headquarters

An advanced command center for the Solar Stronghold starbase that provides significant bonuses to our empire.

    • Required Starbase Level: Solar Stronghold (Level 6)
  • Limit: 1 Per Empire
  • Cost: 1000 Minerals
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Upkeep: 5 Energy

Starbase Administrator / Starbase Network Hub / Starbase Lair

New advances in micromanagement allow this building to do the same amount of nothing as was done before, but much more efficiently.

Solar Panel Network

Small network of solar panels to help alleviate station upkeep and generate surplus energy.

  • Special: This building can be built multiple times on a starbase.

  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Upkeep: None
  • Produced Resources:
    • 2 Energy

 

NSC2 Vanilla Starbase Building Overwrites

NSC2 overwrites the following starbase buildings in order to make them work properly with the mod. The overwrites are located in the nsc_starbase_building.txt file and overwrite only the individual vanilla building entries.

  • Crew Quarters – Reduced AI weight so the AI won’t build only these on their outposts.
  • Fleet Academy – Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
  • Titan Yards – Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
  • Colossus Yards – Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
  • Hyperlane Registrar – Modified to allow it to be built on any starbase, including outposts.
