NSC2 Starbase Buildings

Here you'll find information on the new Starbase Buildings added by NSC2. In addition, NSC2 also overwrites a few vanilla buildings for important changes. Those are listed at the bottom of this page.



Drydock
This specially-designed facility makes use of advanced technology to maintain atmospheric pressures within the Shipyards, allowing workers to more easily build, maintain, upgrade, and repair warships.

  • Required Tech: Starbase Drydock
  • Cost: 100 Alloys
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Upkeep: 2 Energy
  • Bonuses:
    • +5 Shipyard Capacity (Current base only)



Sensor Station
The starbase sensor station assists in monitoring our borders for possible threats.

Building Stats:
  • Prerequisites:
    • Required Tech: Sensor Station
    • Required Building: Listening Post
  • Cost: 300 Alloys
  • Build Time: 360 Days
  • Upkeep: 3 Energy
  • Bonuses:
    • +2 Starbase Sensor Range



Naval Headquarters
An advanced command center for the Solar Stronghold starbase that provides significant bonuses to our empire.

Building Stats:
  • Prerequisites:
    • Required Starbase Level: Solar Stronghold (Level 6)
  • Limit: 1 Per Empire
  • Cost: 1000 Alloys
  • Upkeep: 5 Energy
  • Bonuses:
    • +5 Starbase Trade Protection
    • +8 Defense Platform Capacity
    • +1000 Ship Starting Experience
    • -25% Ship Upgrade Cost
    • +2 Admiral Skill Levels
    • -25% Admiral Upkeep
    • -15% Ship Upkeep
    • +100 Naval Capacity
    • +80 Command Limit
    • +5 Solider Jobs (Non-Gestalt Empires)
    • +5 Warrior Drone Jobs (Gestalt Empires)
    • Assigns Starbase Type: Headquarters



Starbase Administrator / Starbase Network Hub / Starbase Lair
New advances in micromanagement allow this building to do the same amount of nothing as was done before, but much more efficiently.

    • Can only be built in systems with a colonized planet.
  • Limit: 5 Per Empire
  • Cost:
    • 1000 Alloys
    • 1000 Energy
    • 50 Influence
  • Produced Resources:
    • 1 Influence

  • Bonuses (Normal Empire):
    • +2 Starbase Trade Protection

    • +100% Starbase Shield Hitpoints
    • +10% Trade Value
    • +2 Administrator Jobs (Normal Empires) or +2 Executive Jobs (Megacorp Empires)
  • Bonuses (Machine Empire):
    • +100% Starbase Shield Hitpoints
    • +5% Robot Production
    • +3 Coordinator Jobs
  • Bonuses (Hive Empire):
    • +100% Starbase Shield Hitpoints
    • +10% Population Growth Speed
    • +3 Synapse Drone Jobs



System Mineral Refinery
Increases system-wide mineral production.

    • Required Tech: System Mineral Refinery
    • Colonized Planet Required
  • Limit: 5 Per Empire

Central location for all immigration for the system.

    • Required Tech: Starbase Level 2
    • Colonized Planet Required
  • Limit: 5 Per Empire
  • Cost:
    • 250 Alloys
    • 10 Influence
  • Build Time: 180 Days
  • Upkeep: 1 Energy
  • Bonuses (Normal Empire):
    • -25% Planet Crime
    • +20% Governing Ethics Attraction
    • +15% Population Migration Speed
  • Bonuses (Machine Empire Without Servitor Civic):
    • +10% Planet Stability
    • +5% Livestock Production
    • +5% Purge
  • Bonuses (Machine Empire With Servitor Civic):
    • +10% Bio Trophy Unity Production
    • +5% Robot Production



Solar Panel Network
Small network of solar panels to help alleviate station upkeep and generate surplus energy.

Building Stats:
  • Prerequisites: None
  • Special: This building can be built multiple times on a starbase.
  • Cost: 125 Alloys
  • Upkeep: None
  • Produced Resources:
    • 3 Energy


NSC2 Vanilla Starbase Building Overwrites

NSC2 overwrites the following starbase buildings in order to make them work properly with the mod. The overwrites are located in the nsc_starbase_building.txt file and overwrite only the individual vanilla building entries.
  • Fleet Academy - Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
  • Titan Yards - Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
  • Colossus Yards - Added Drydock to the list of unlocks for this building.
